Hip Pain Treatment
in Chicago's West Loop

Tight hips that won't open up. Pain when you squat, run, or sit for too long. A catch or pinch you've been working around for months. We help active Chicago professionals and athletes identify what's actually locking up their hips — and fix it so it stops coming back.

Why Your Hips Stay Tight No Matter How Much You Stretch

Stretching tight hip flexors feels good in the moment. But if the tightness returns within hours, the problem isn't flexibility — it's structure. Restricted hip joints, inhibited glutes, anterior pelvic tilt, and compensatory patterns from the lumbar spine all create hip tightness that no amount of stretching can resolve on its own.

Hip pain rarely lives in the hip alone. The pelvis connects the lumbar spine above and the femur below — meaning dysfunction anywhere in that chain shows up as hip pain. We evaluate all of it before building your plan.

💡 The Hip-Low Back Connection Most People Miss

Tight hip flexors from prolonged sitting pull the lumbar spine into extension and compress the SI joint — one of the most common causes of low back and hip pain we see in West Loop desk workers.

Weak glutes from the same prolonged sitting then force the lower back and IT band to compensate, creating a chain of dysfunction that stretching alone will never break.

Common Causes & Conditions We Treat

What's Causing It

  • Prolonged sitting shortening hip flexors & inhibiting glutes

  • SI joint dysfunction — restricted or mal-positioned sacroiliac joint

  • Hip joint capsule restriction reducing internal rotation

  • Piriformis tightness compressing the sciatic nerve

  • Anterior pelvic tilt altering hip mechanics under load

  • Old groin, hamstring, or hip injury never fully rehabbed

  • Training imbalances — overdeveloped hip flexors, underdeveloped glutes

Conditions We Help With

  • Hip flexor tightness & strain

  • SI joint dysfunction & sacroiliac pain

  • Hip impingement (FAI) — pinching at the front of the hip

  • Piriformis syndrome — deep glute pain & sciatica

  • Hip bursitis — lateral hip pain with walking or lying

  • Groin pain & adductor tightness

  • Hip pain with squatting, running, or lunging

How We Treat Hip Pain in Chicago

At Renewed Body Chiropractic, your care plan is built around you — not a standard protocol. After a thorough evaluation, we combine the therapies most effective for your specific cause and severity.

Chiropractic Adjustments

Restores proper motion to the hip joint, sacroiliac joint, and lumbar spine — reducing nerve irritation and correcting the mechanical dysfunction driving hip pain.

Active Release Technique (ART)

Breaks up adhesions in the hip flexors, glutes, piriformis, and IT band — releasing the chronic tightness that stretching alone never fully resolves.

Corrective Exercise & Rehab

Strengthens the glutes, deep hip stabilizers, and core — so your results hold between visits and the hip stays functional under the demands of training and daily life.

IASTM, Cupping & Soft Tissue Therapy

Reduces inflammation and releases fascial restrictions around the hip and pelvis — improving circulation and tissue quality in the most loaded areas.

We Assess the Hip, Pelvis, and Spine Together

Hip pain that doesn't respond to local treatment is almost always being driven from somewhere else in the chain. We evaluate the full picture — not just the most painful spot.

You Work With Dr. Bryant Directly

No hand-offs to assistants. No assembly-line appointments. Dr. Bryant personally evaluates and treats you every visit.

We Distinguish Between Hip Conditions — They're Not All the Same

SI joint pain, FAI, piriformis syndrome, and hip bursitis all present differently and require different treatment approaches. We identify which one you're dealing with before starting care.

We Keep You Active While You Heal

We work around your training, travel, and schedule — not against it. Most patients never need to pause their workouts or routines.
